General education for adults.

Natural Diabetes Remedy (naturaldiabetesremedy.com) offers general education for adults with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes questions, and for caregivers. Our articles, worksheets, examples and buying guides help you check sources, understand food-label units, compare learning tools and prepare questions.

They do not diagnose conditions, assess symptoms, prescribe treatment or give personal medical advice. Using this site does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Despite the site’s name, we do not promise a cure, reversal or any health result.

Make personal decisions with your care team.

Talk with a qualified health professional who knows your situation about how any information applies to you, and follow your own care plan.

  • Medicines and supplements. Discuss any change with your clinician or pharmacist. Do not change or stop a medicine because of something you read online.
  • Food, activity and monitoring. Ask your care team which guidance and targets apply to you.
  • Questions and next steps. Bring your learning questions to your next care-team conversation. The free Care-Team Conversation Planner can help you organize them.

No treatment recommendations.

This site does not tell anyone what to eat, how much, which medicine or supplement to use, or which blood-sugar or weight target to aim for. Numbers in our food-label examples are illustrative practice values, not recommended servings or targets.

For a possible medical emergency.

Call 911 or your local emergency services right away. Do not wait for a reply from this website. This site and its contact form are not an emergency or clinical service.

Know the limits of the information.

Products are learning toolsA buying guide or, in the future, an affiliate link is not a personal recommendation or evidence of a health benefit. See our Review Methodology.

We work to keep pages accurate and current, but we cannot promise that every page is complete or free of errors. If you spot a problem, please tell us.

A careful word on supplements.

Some products are marketed as natural remedies for diabetes. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) explains that, for most supplements, there is no evidence of a benefit for diabetes or its complications, and that supplements may interact with medicines. The FDA has warned companies that sell diabetes products illegally, says it has not evaluated or approved those products as safe and effective, and advises checking with a health care professional before buying an unproven product.

Talk with your care team before trying any supplement.
